Some of the parliamentary candidates who ran on the Ghana Liberal Party (LPG) ticket applauded presidential candidate Percival Kofi Akpaloo for portraying them as people devoid of common sense.

Candidates are currently suing the presidential candidate for the money they invested in the elections because he promised to return that money after the election.

Mr. Percival Kofi Akpaloo took all his lost parliamentary candidates in the elections to the cleaners describing them as people devoid of common sense.

According to him, it does not make sense for them to demand reimbursement of the sums they have invested in their campaigns.

A few days ago, the candidates accused Mr. Akpaloo of deception, fraud and bad faith.

Speaking at a press conference, Ms Gifty Hammond, on behalf of the candidates, said Akpaloo had promised them financial and logistical resources for their campaign ahead of the election but had failed to deliver on its promise.

She added that their presidential candidate had also asked them to apply for a loan, after which he would pay them back, but Kofi Akpaloo, who reportedly received financial support from the nuclear power plant, including vehicles, has since ignored their calls and gave the impression that there was nothing. a miss.

Ms Hammond, who was a parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso Central, described their boss’ actions as fraudulent and that he ignored them for his personal gain.

But Akpaloo who answered described them as foolish and indicated that he could not be the only one to reimburse them their sums.

Mr. Akpaloo denied asking them to apply for loans to fund their campaigns.

To him, it makes no sense for them to make such requests, and wonders why they didn’t join the NDC and NPP if they had the money.

He said contestants wanted to take advantage of his popularity to stay relevant.

He said it wouldn’t be important for him to answer these things because common sense should tell them that they didn’t have to ask him for a refund.

He asked who would pay for the loans he had taken out for the elections.

He added that the candidates borrowed his logo and did not pay it and yet they are asking him to repay their loans.

Reacting to the comments, Ayawaso Central parliamentary candidate Gifty Hammond expressed disappointment with the candidate for describing them as without senators.

According to her, the candidate asked them to use their own resources for the elections although they did not put the agreement on paper.

She alleged that the candidate received financial support from President Akufo-Addo but refused to give them his share of the money.

“Akpaloo told us he had received financial support from the president. He asked us to use our money for the campaign and he will refund us after the money arrives. But he refused to give us our money. Some officers from our party attacked us because they think we received money.

Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, she said every party supported their candidates but Mr. Akpaloo did not support them.

“If Akpaloo says we lack common sense, we’ve heard it. He proved that he lacked credibility. Next time, we would make a deal and get it documented.

For his part, Mr. Christian Kwabena Kwakye, a party leader in the northwest region, asked Akpaloo to pay them or they will wash his dirty laundry in public.

He said there were dirty secrets they would expose to the public if Akpaloo didn’t return their money.

He also confirmed that Mr. Akpaloo told them that he had received money from the presidency.

“Sir. Akpaloo has told us that he is backed by the president and therefore we want him to give us our money. We will not allow him to cheat us. We have made a deal with him. We have evidence to back it up. “We want him to pay us. We can prove that he made a deal with us. We don’t want to make any further comments because we may be forced to reveal more secrets. We will take our money away from him.” He did not incur any costs. His campaign was sponsored by the president. He did not use his campaign money. Akpaloo should pay us. If he does not pay us, he will hear from us around the world He should be prepared for us.
