Reverend Dominic Ziba, the chief pastor of the Assemblies of God Church at the Temple of the Holy Spirit in Bolgatanga, called on the Church to always remain neutral and focus on the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

He said the Church’s responsibility is to pray, to be honest, to guide, and to warn others not to take sides, especially in politics.

“We have almost everyone in the Church, all the political parties are there, and these are all our sons and daughters, we have to stay neutral and pray that all the players can do the right thing and leave us alone. peace. in the country.”

Reverend Ziba, who spoke in an interview with the Ghanaian news agency in Bolgatanga, called for caution in the face of the ongoing post-election turmoil in the country.

“Let’s be very careful, let us know that this nation is for all of us, and whatever we do we have to look to God and make sure we’re doing the right thing. What we are going through now is not the best, the Church must pray, ”he said.

The pastor encouraged Ghanaians to be stewards of each other, to love their neighbors as they love themselves and to ensure that “avoidable problems are well avoided, electoral challenges avoidable as it is the Lord who will decide what to do.

Despite all the challenges of 2020, Rev. Ziba, who is also the Upper East regional superintendent for the Assemblies of God Church “A” area, described the year as “a very good year” and said explained that, everything works together for good.

“God is with us, He controls. Although the pandemic has arrived and some things did not go as planned because there was a time when we couldn’t go to church, in the midst of all of these things we give praise to God that He did what he intended to do this year. . “

The zone superintendent was optimistic that 2021 would be a good thing, “because our God does things better every day, and so whatever we’ve been through this year, we know God has better days ahead of us. It is a God who makes your future better than yesterday.

He urged Christians to instill a fear of God in themselves, to serve him diligently, to follow the teachings of the scriptures, and to refrain from introducing secular activities into the Church.

“We must stick to the requirements of the Scriptures and put the Church in its rightful position, as it should be.”

Speaking of the essence of Christmas, Reverend Ziba said it was a season for Christians to remember their relationship with God.

He said that God sent his only son to serve the world, adding that the birth of Christ was the means by which man was reconciled to God.

“We’re not necessarily saying it was the time of Christ’s birth. It is not our interest, but the fact remains that there was a time when the Savior was born and the whole world needs to know the reason for this birth, it is very necessary.
