Popular Ghanaian investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has warned that he is ready to shoot more people in the head who engage in an act of corruption in 2021.
He called them “thieves who loot our national kitten with impunity and violate human rights.
Anas added that we only have one Ghana, therefore each person should play their role well in a positive way.
His warning sparked massive backlash from Ghanaians, with some NPP supporters hitting him.
Bryan Buabeng, a staunch member of the NPP wrote that Anas lacks the integrity to speak this way. He also said Anas should refrain from blackmailing:
Kow replied to Bryan, saying that it was “your Nana Addo” who shut him up:
Mason also said that he was not surprised that Bryan’s comment was a boy of Akufo-Addo’s cousin, Gabby Otchere Darko:
Nana also hit Bryan hard for his comment:
Amandu advised Anas to be careful:
Alhassan pointed out that people like Anas should be celebrated but out of fear they hide:
Nasiru also had a tip for Anas:
Félix wished Anas good luck:
Meanwhile, Anas has, over the past few years, published groundbreaking investigative pieces that have exposed the decay of society.
One of them is video number 12 which exposed corruption in Ghana’s football sector, leading to the dismissal of key executives.
Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi has been accused of certain questionable activities in this video which resulted in him being banned for life by FIFA.
Nyantakyi has also been shown leaving as GFA chairman, following his ban and fine by FIFA.
One of Anas’ team, Ahmed Suale, was shot dead after the premiere of investigative exhibit number 12.
