Weirdest Singing Contest – The Masked Singer UK – is back on Saturday night!

The second series started airing on Boxing Day 2020 with a whole new selection of hidden celebrities taking the stage and being here with us on Saturday nights to brighten up the dark winter evenings of 2021.

The Masked Singer UK Series 2 release date

The masked singer returned to ITV the day after Christmas at 7 p.m., and the second episode is Saturday January 2 at 7 p.m., again on ITV.

Initially, host Joel Dommett told Heart Radio in September that the talent show would be back. early 2021.

He added: “There were a lot of rule changes back then and everyone was afraid it would be closed halfway. The scale of production on this show is so great, so I’m so glad it’s done and ITV has managed to do it.

Filming for the show began in September, with the new cast of disguised VIPs in front of a socially distant live audience.

The Masked Singer UK series 2 judges

Series 1 judges Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Rita Ora have returned to guess the identities of a new cohort of concealed celebrities, but US comedian Ken Jeong was unable to film Series 2 due to restrictions on travel related to COVID.

ITV has announced that BAFTA-winning comedian Mo Gilligan will replace the actor for the second season in August, with Gilligan saying it was a privilege to join the series.

“This is one of the funniest shows and I’m really proud to play my little part to help bring some joy to the nation,” he added.
