Liverpool fans believe the club must enter the January transfer market to sign a defender – with two names topping the list.
We asked Reds supporters to fill out a short poll about their wishes ahead of the new window and the results sent a clear message.
A whopping 98% of fans said the business needed to be done this month.
51% think two signatures are needed, 32% said only one and 15% think three or more are needed.
Unsurprisingly, given Liverpool’s current injury issues in defense, 79% of fans said center-back is the highest priority.
This was followed by the full-back on 9%, then the attacking midfielder on 4%.
And when it comes to fantasy football and the appointment of a specific target, Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly was the peerless choice with 40%.
He was closely followed by RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano at 35%.

And a third center-back was next – Schalke’s Ozan Kabak with 8%.
Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele finished fourth with 4%.
It remains to be seen if Klopp is tempted to ask for a center-back to bolster his injury crisis in this department.

But sources from Anfield have suggested that January will be a quiet month with no major income or expenses.
They indicated that any major recruiting work underway at the moment would mainly concern the summer period.
