Batman: Soul of the Dragon recently released a new clip featuring Ben Turner – aka Bronze Tiger – battling a warehouse full of criminals.
A newly released clip from Batman: Soul of the Dragon emphasizes the combat skills of Ben Turner / Bronze Tiger.
Batman: Soul of the DragonThe Warner Bros. music video shows Turner spying on criminals. Although the criminals try to fight, Turner easily defeats them.
Turner will be voiced by Michael Jai White in Dragon soul. White previously described Turner in The arrow, and also starred in Spawn as the titular anti-hero of Image Comics.
“I watched Three the hard way, Fred Williamson, Jim Brown, Jim Kelly; there’s a lot of Jim Kelly in there, these movies. It’s kind of like these blaxploitation characters are moving around in that kind of James Bond setting, ”White told CBR in an interview.
In DC Comics, Bronze Tiger is an incredibly skilled martial artist. He served as a villain, anti-hero, and major member of the Suicide Squad. Bronze Tiger is one of the only characters to have beaten Batman in melee.
Batman: Soul of the Dragon features the Dark Knight uniting with martial artists from his past, including Turner and Lady Shiva. Batman: The Animated Series Co-creator Bruce Timm is the executive producer of the project, which aims to pay homage to martial arts films from the 70s.
Directed by Sam Liu and produced by Bruce Timm, Batman: Soul of the Dragon stars David Giuntoli as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Mark Dacascos as Richard Dragon, Kelly Hu as Lady Shiva, Michael Jai White as Ben Turner / Bronze Tiger, James Hong as O-Sensei and Josh Keaton as Jeffrey Burr. The film arrives January 12, 2021 in digital HD and January 26 in Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
