My wife should not complain about her husband- Mintah Akandoh to Ursula
Juaboso MP (MP) Kwabena Mintah Akandoh revealed that he did not consent to fellow MP Ursula Owusu-Ekuful to sit on his lap in the parliamentary chamber on Thursday morning.
According to him, his wife has yet to comment on the incident that made tongues quiver on social media, but he emphasizes that he is not to blame.
This incident took place at dawn on Thursday amid the confusion in the parliamentary chamber in the early hours of Thursday.
This followed a dispute over seating arrangements and where elected MPs should sit.

There was confusion in the House over which party held the majority, leading MPs on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) side to take majority seats. When the deputies of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) entered, they had no choice but to occupy the minority section.
Outlining his version of events of how the MP for Ablekuma West landed on his knees, Mr Akandoh said Ms Owusu-Ekuful refused to sit with her party and moved to the NDC side.

“We sat on the majority side, on the right side of the speaker’s place. So when they came in, they all joined the minority, the left side, and sat down. Ursula refused to go that way, ”Akandoh told Joy News in an interview.
He said that when Ms. Owusu-Ekuful got up from the seat to go to the bathroom, he went to take that seat.
“… And when she came back, she sat on my lap.” She just sat on my lap. I didn’t want to touch her.
“She sat on my lap. I did not sit on his lap. My wife should be complaining, not her husband.
He added that he did not want to touch her to avoid “meeting her with a little force”.
