‘Messi seems to have another two or three years in him’ – Rivaldo sees Barcelona star returning to his best

Lionel Messi is back at his best at Barcelona and appears to have “at least two or three more seasons” in him “at the top level,” Rivaldo says.

The mercurial Argentine has been slow to get started in 2020-21 after seeing a summer transfer window dominated by speculation about his future.

Rivaldo admits Messi seems to be heading for the exits, but he saw a spark that the South American rediscovered recently.

With that in mind, the former Blaugrana star believes the modern-day icon can stay at the top of his game for several more seasons, with no threat that he will pass away anytime soon.

“It is important for him and the club to maintain their relationship because he could end his time as a Barcelona player.
