Death in Paradise’s 10th series premiered earlier this month, with Ralf Little’s DI Neville Parker introduced to a familiar face to viewers: DS Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert).
The couple got off to a shaky start, but seemed to bond by the end of the episode.
Now a clip for the second episode sees them confronting a new case that could involve arsenic poisoning, and features a few famous faces, including Our Girl star Luke Pasqualino. You can watch the clip below.
Pasqualino guest stars like Ed Lancer whose mentor, Professor Roger Harkness, played by Richard McCabe of Poldark, has been found dead under mysterious circumstances.
Bryony Hannah also joins the cast of Death in Paradise as Assistant Professor Rebecca Morley, who served Harkness the coffee that may have been responsible for her death. Parker and Cassell think the coffee could have been poisoned with arsenic.
It looks like Parker and Cassell will have their work cut out for them with this one. We might also have more clues as to how long Cassell plans to stay this time around after his mid-season eight release from the show following the death of his fiancee.
Actor Jobert has so far been tight-lipped about Florence Casell’s return for Death in Paradise season 11, but she has confirmed that her character did not die in Series 10, so there is still hope. .
Death in Paradise continues Thursday, January 14 at 9 p.m. on BBC One and can also be watched on BBC iPlayer shortly after it airs. In the meantime, visit our TV guide to see what’s going on tonight.
