The good old Lord has been so faithful to us and has always been our guide and our comforter. It’s a good day he had and I want to discuss something with the masses. It’s been my dilemma for almost a year now.

Everything revolves around the church. It is time to think about recent events in the church as Christians. Some will not agree but that’s my opinion.

The Church in brief

It is time for the church (the building and the members) to move away from its present position. It is time for us to make it attractive to the masses. Research has shown that less than 30% of the Christian community in Italy thinks of church on Saturday or Sunday. Less than 20% of the Christian population thinks about their change in Germany… and it goes on and on. For Africa it is worse and I think our Christian leaders should wake up.

A big paradigm shift is needed within the church setting. The era of his praise is over … and we need church leaders. Gone are the days when we use the depth of his pocket to measure his sense of reasoning and I think we should look for the right leaders to lead the church.

The church should be a place of problem solving … not just a building with some embellishment. It should be a hotbed of peace, joy, and wise guidance. This place should be a house of personal development and growth. Yes! we need to pray as people but I think now is the time to go beyond praying and fasting.

We expect the church to be an incubator, to incubate our future leaders. The next group of leaders is expected to be endowed with a morality capable of leading this country to its rightful place.

This holy place should be a place where someone can boldly share their problems without being judged. A place where backbiting would not be entertained. A place where unity is the lighthouse. A church that sees beyond the eyes.

I am so worried because the church is gradually losing its relevance in society. It should not be a brake on progress and novelty. It’s okay to give to God, but the question is, what are our church leaders using the money for …?

Let me ask these few questions and I know you will understand me.
As a member of the church, when was the last time your pastor discussed business opportunities with you?
When was the last time your pastor discussed scholarship opportunities with you…?
When was the last time your pastor discussed the welfare of his members, including the health of the members …?

Without all of these things in place, pastors expect us to complete the 500 strengthening capacities every Saturday or Sunday.

This place is a place of good character, values and ethics that can help guide members and the next generation.

It is time to end this unnecessary statement in the name of prophecy. Now is a good time to prepare and build our own, which includes good Christian leaders. Putting our people first should be the new mantra in Christian circles.

Today is Sunday, and some don’t feel like going to church because they don’t know the essence of going to that place. Bitterness alone drives out the children of God and it is time to build our house.

God, this is the time to help us build the house. We are your builders and we do not want to work in vain. Guide your people everywhere and bless us with a third eye that can help us see beyond our eyes. We leave everything in your hands. Amen.
