Arnold Schwarzenegger had his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine – and celebrated the moment by slipping into two lines of his film career.
The 73-year-old posted a Twitter video of himself having his right bicep pulled on the drive-thru site at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
“Today has been a good day,” he wrote. “I have never been happier to wait in line. If you are eligible, join me and sign up to receive your vaccine.”
He added: “Come with me if you want to live!” – a well-known slogan of the Terminator franchise.
“Put that needle down,” he jokingly continues in the music video, dropping a half quote from one of his lesser-known Jingle All The Way movies, before thanking the technician who administered the jab.
In the 1996 film, Schwarzenegger shouts to a neighbor eating his wife’s cookies, “Put that cookie down now!”
After receiving the COVID vaccine, the Hollywood star then turned and winked at the camera and added, “Alright, I just got my vaccine, and I will recommend it to everyone.”
“Come with me if you want to live!” he reaffirmed.
He also revealed that Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti had personally checked the former California governor for the coup.
“Thanks for checking me in at @Dodgers Stadium, @MayorOfLA! What a crazy surprise,” he tweeted.
