Ghanaian economist Kwame Pianim said President Akufo-Addo and NDC flag bearer John Dramani Mahama were due to have closed-door conversations on the ongoing Supreme Court election petition.

According to him, the two, having served the nation in recent years, have vowed to protect the interests of Ghanaians, therefore, must enter into a dialogue to resolve this issue amicably.

Speaking on Citi TV’s Point of View show on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, the Ghanaian economist said they “are speaking quietly behind closed doors and once that is done it will permeate everyone then the courts will know that, what Ghanaians are looking for. for it is justice.

“If these two people [Mahama and Akufo-Addo] those who have sworn to protect the interests of Ghanaians cannot put aside their personal affairs and work for the interests of Ghanaians, so we are lost, ”Pianim added.

He noted that 2021 will be quite difficult and that the opposition and Ghanaians must support the president to lead the country on the path to development.

His comment follows the NDC caucus with the same number of seats as the NPP in parliament.

Meanwhile, the Akufo-Addo-Mahama Supreme Court petition case has been postponed until January 26, 2021.
