Two former deputy ministers from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s first term have been appointed to substantive positions.
Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, who is also an MP for Bosomtwe and Godfred Dame constituency, have been appointed to take charge of the Ministries of Education and Attorney General and Justice respectively as ministers in charge.
Dr Adutwum succeeds his former boss, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who has now transferred to the Department of Energy, while Godfred Dame succeeds Gloria Akuffo who was previously in charge of the attorney general’s portfolio and justice.
Other ministers such as Minister of Finance Ken Ofori-Atta, Minister of Transport Kwaku Ofori Asiamah and Minister of Communications Ursula Owusu Ekuful, however, were retained in their ministries, while others as the main ministry , Monitoring and evaluation and regional reintegration Ministries have been abolished.
