A 40-year-old truck pusher, popularly known as Taller, died prematurely after an articulated truck passed over his head in Mankessim in the Mfantseman municipality of the central region.
The vehicle was carrying an excavator when the driver lost control, ran over the victim and crushed his head.
Eyewitnesses told Kasapa FM News Yaw Boagyan that the deceased who they say is a hardworking man was standing by the road when the truck slipped out of its lane and ran over him, killing him instantly.
“We heard the truck honking twice to see that the truck ran over the man drawing huge crowds to the scene. He is such a hardworking and respectful man, it’s sad that he lost his life in this way. an eyewitness said.
The body of the deceased was sent to the mortuary of the Roman hospital in Mankessim while the police opened an investigation into the incident.
