There appears to be an ominous calm among members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Volta region following the reappointment of Dr Archibald Yao Letsa as regional minister.

They also believe that such traits are necessary for the Volta region, where the NPP is in the minority and works hard to win many more opposition people into the NPP.
To this end, they described the turmoil and protests against the appointment of Dr Archibald Letsa as a malicious orchestration by some selfish party members who put their selfish interest ahead of the party’s interest and the Volta region as that whole.
They therefore urged all party members to treat the unrest with all the contempt they deserve. Instead, they should thank the President for making such a good decision and come together to help the President and the designated regional minister fulfill their mandate.
