But every smile, every greeting, every kind gesture she made in the past came back to her tenfold.
The single woman, whose savings were depleted in 2020, ended up living with a relative after running out of enough money to afford her own place.
The residents of the apartment building she worked in decided to mobilize resources and make her life a little easier.
They paid for a beautiful four bedroom apartment with hardwood floors, huge windows, a large living room, and ample storage space.
It was actually the largest apartment in the building.
Initially, Rosa believed she had been taken home to clean it up for potential clients who were to see her.
So she marveled at every square inch of the house as the building manager showed her around.
Then she was given the keys, a two-year lease, and she was told the house was hers.
The cleaning lady burst into tears as she thanked her loyal customers for thinking of her and her family.
