On Wednesday (January 27), the group, consisting of Offset, TakeOff and Quavo, gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at what they’ve been up to musically during the pandemic. The men gathered in a Los Angeles mansion to escape the disturbances of the outside world.
“It’s time for us to get tough and bond, to know about our business and just time to get it all straight,” Quavo said. “We’re just young men trying to grow taller. Right now, we are at a point in our lives where we are allowed to sit down, build and start from scratch.
Offset says the band didn’t want to release too much music and saturate the market. He also explained how he had recently become more involved in politics.
“A lot of things that go on in quarantine made me realize I needed to get out of the box and see more of the world,” he said. “We were away for a reason though. How we put so much music on, you could flood the market. With all that is going on, I have never been so political in my life. I had my first time to vote this year. And that comes from just seeing everything that is going on in the world.
