‘Big Little Lies’ author releases new novel in September

The new novel by Big little lies the author Liane Moriarty will be a story of family, tennis and a mysterious absence.

Henry Holt announced on Wednesday that Moriarty Apples never fall releases September 14. Its characters include retired tennis coaches Stan and Joy Delaney and their four grown children as the author once again leads readers behind the closed doors of a seemingly quiet suburb.

Now Joy Delaney is gone and her children reexamine their parents’ marriage and family history with frightened new eyes according to Holt. Is her disappearance linked to their mysterious guest from the house last year? Or have things never been as rosy as they looked in the Delaney house?

Previous books by Australian writers also include Truly Madly Guilty and Nine Perfect Strangers which came out in 2018 and are being adapted for a Hulu miniseries starring Nicole Kidman. Big Little Lies, released in 2014, is the basis of the Emmy-winning HBO series starring Kidman Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley.
