The Parliamentary Appointments Committee has reserved Wednesday, February 10, 2021, as the day for the selection of ministerial nominees for President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The Committee therefore requests public notes for all of the President’s candidates.
According to the eminent member of the Committee, Haruna Iddrisu, priority will be given to certain ministers due to the COVID situation in the country.
Accordingly, the designated Minister of Health should be the first person to be examined.
President Akufo-Addo presented Parliament with a list of his ministerial candidates on Thursday, January 21, 2021 – 46 in all.
This includes 30 ministers and 16 regional ministers. Eight of them are women – six ministers and two regional ministers.
Koku Anyidoho, the founder of the Atta Mills Institute, raved about the president for drastically reducing the size of his government during his second term.
