KAIPTC graduated 140 students at the 9th joint graduation ceremony

The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center (KAIPTC) organized a graduation ceremony on Friday January 29, 2021 for its 2020 badge of students from different departments of the institution.

The colorful ceremony which took place at Burma Hall at Burma Camp in Accra saw a total of 140 students graduate after excelling in various programs they have taken at the famous center.

In all, students from countries such as Ghana, Cameroon, Chad, Gambia, Mali, Nigeria and Uganda, have obtained degrees and doctorates in programs such as Doctor of Philosophy in International Conflict Management. (PIMC), Executive Master of Arts in Conflict, Peace and Security (EMCPS), Master of Arts in Conflict, Peace and Security (MCPS), Master of Arts in Gender, Peace and Security (MGPS) and Weekend Master of Arts in Conflict , Peace and Security (WMCPS)).

Stepping onto the podium that day to deliver a welcoming speech at the graduation ceremony on the theme “ Providing skills to meet the needs of business and human security in times of uncertainty ”, the Major General Francis Ofori, Commander of KAIPTC, congratulated the professors and graduate students. for having excelled in the adversity presented by the Covid-19 pandemic to end a successful academic year.

In this time of uncertainty, he urged graduates to be adaptive and responsive while taking advantage of the vast opportunities around the world to contribute their quota to making the world a better place.

“Never limit your potential and capabilities by contributing to the wide range of research problems that need to be solved on a global scale. You have the honor to always present yourselves as eminent ambassadors of KAIPTC, to build on the solid foundations and the expertise that you have acquired and to continue to make us all proud ”, declared Major General Francis Ofori.

In turn, addressing the graduate students as a special guest speaker, Vodafone Ghana CEO Ms. Patricia Obo-Nai tasked the 140 graduates to seize the opportunity to rethink and shape the future we want. so much.

According to her, graduates should open up, adapt to the new world of technology, build collaborative relationships and master data to help them excel in their field of work.

Concluding her speech, Ms. Patricia Obo-Nai said: “I beg you [graduands] to use your security expertise in an increasingly digital world.
