Reverend Francisca Duncan-Williams, founder of Doxa Citadel Church, urged women to use their skills and entrepreneurial talents to have a positive impact on society.
She said women were endowed with gifts such as cooking and crafts and could make a difference in society when they started doing business with these skills.
Reverend Duncan-Williams delivered a speech at the second anniversary of the Awaken Women’s Professional Fellowship in Baatsonaa, near Tema, on the theme: “God’s Purpose for a Woman”.
The scholarship was created two years ago to support young women through vocational training.
She said that while prayer is necessary for a Christian’s survival, it is also important to skillfully strengthen her ability to become a determined woman and an asset to the family and the nation as a whole.
Reverend Duncan Williams described a determined woman as a hardworking woman who supported the family and helped maintain the home.
“A determined woman is a woman of prayer, a woman who carries the spirit of power, who gives her time and treasures without counting the cost. A determined woman is a woman who loves the Lord with all her heart, her time, her treasure and her talents, ”she said.
Dr Mary Offei-Agyeman, medical director of Ropheka Herbal Hospital, called on Ghanaians to adhere to Covid-19 safety protocols by washing hands with soap under running water, using hand sanitizers alcohol-based, as well as observing social distancing.
She urged Ghanaians to eat healthy foods and more vegetables to keep their immune systems strong.
Lady Apostle Victoria Sarpong, founder of the scholarship, said it was established in 2019 to provide support to young women by providing them with vocational training.
She urged women to aspire to greater heights and to hold leadership positions by improving their academic performance.
