“ I lost a friend ” – Mahama mourns the late Baffoe-Bonnie

Former Chairman John Dramani Mahama has finally reacted to the sudden passing of the founder and former CEO of Network Broadcasting Company Limited, owners of Radio Gold.

Details of Mr Kwasi Sainti Baffoe-Bonnie, 70, born in the northwest region of Ghana, are not readily available, but media say he died on Monday February 1. Covid-19 and subsequent negative tests.

Three days after his announced death, Mr. Mahama reacted to his username on social networks. In a brief post with the photo of the late media owner, the NDC 2020 flag bearer wrote: “I have lost a friend, comrade and brother. RIP Kwesi Sainti Baffoe-Bonnie (Babo) ”.

The late Baffoe-Bonnie served as Chairman of the Board of Ghana Air Catering Services from 2006-2007. In 2009, he was appointed Senior Policy Advisor to NDC Flag Bearer John Dramani Mahama.

From 2012 to 2016, Mr. Baffoe-Bonnie served as Presidential Staff and Senior Political Affairs Advisor to the President of the Republic of Ghana.

He was again appointed senior political adviser to then-Vice President John Mahama under the Mills administration from 2009 to 2012.

He left behind a wife and three children.
