We will fix bad roads and equip the police for our safety – MP for Kade takes over the constituency after Pramkese is robbed on the road | General news

Kade Constituency MP Alex Kwadwo Agyare says he will see the legitimate authorities and push for the roads in his constituencies to be rebuilt.

This follows a theft on the road in Pramkese, Kwaebibirim municipality, on Monday evening, which killed a policeman.

The officer, Lance Corporal Moses Nartey, had been dispatched with another colleague to avoid a robbery on the Akyem Pramkese-Takyiman route following a distress call.

The armed police attended the scene of the theft in a rental taxi, as the station had no official vehicle for the operation.

According to Akyem-Pramkese chief Barimah Ofori Frimpong II, thieves who had ambushed a nearby bush opened fire on the police team when the senior officer Lance Corporal Nartey got out of the taxi.

He explained that his other colleague who tried to retaliate was also shot during the process.

The gunmen, the chief said, escaped after sensing residents had heard about the attack and were on their way to cause their arrest.

Locals say the area’s poor roads have exposed them to a series of road thefts.

However, their new MP, Alex Kwadwo Agyare, ensured that the problem was fixed and equipped the police to tackle this type of crime.

“We deserve better, safe roads for everyone. So, I will speak to the authorities to fix our roads after years of neglect. It means resurfacing the worst roads and solving pothole problems. Just like the government is doing across the country, there will be improvement here. He said in an interview

Adding this: “I believe in the police and I know that criminals will be brought to account. There shouldn’t be fear and panic. I assure the people of my support and I will do my best to support the police and the people.

Alex Kwadwo Agyare also expressed his condolences to the deceased family and the police fraternity in the area.
