Ahead of Thursday’s press conference, Wine’s legal team released a 50-page report collating allegations of apparent abuse, human rights violations and irregularities related to the January 14 national election.

Uganda’s long-time leader President Yoweri Museveni has been declared the winner for a record-breaking sixth term amid an internet blackout and allegations of abuse.

Wine’s legal team says the Election Commission’s final report on the election result, which shows 100% votes for Museveni in hundreds of districts and nearly 100% in hundreds more, shows a “Clear pattern” of falsified voting.
Wine said the report was sent to the European Union, the European Council, the United States Department of State and foreign ministries in several countries on Thursday, including the United Kingdom, France and the United States. Australia.
