The Parliamentary Appointments Committee today reviewed some of the appointed ministers who will occupy President Akufo-Addo’s second term.
The appointed ministers of health, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, and national security, Albert Kan-Dapaah, were the first to appear before the Committee.
This, explained Haruna Iddrisu, a leading member of the Parliament’s Nominating Committee, is to allow the Minister of Health to get to work as cases of Covid-19 in the country increase.
However, the chairman of the nominations committee, Joseph Osei Owusu, has hinted that the education minister-designate, Dr Yaw Adutwum, will likely also appear before them today.
