Odeefuo Afankwa III, the supreme leader of the traditional area of ​​Breman Essiam emerged victorious in the Council of State elections held in Cape Coast on Friday.

He polled 31 votes out of a total of 44 votes beating six other candidates in his candidacy to be the regional representative of the Council of State.

He was followed by Mr. Kwesi Eyi Acquah had 13 votes, while Mr. Timothy Isaac Nana Bonful, Mr. Timothy Ebo Essandoh and Mr. Badu-Prah Peter Armstrong King had zero votes each.

Mr. Nkyi Kwame Patrick and Mr. Nana Kweku Awuku withdrew from the competition.

Odeefuo Afankwa, 50, said his vision was to push for the development of the region and ensure that local government actors have sufficient resources to work effectively.
