‘WandaVision’ will likely feature Reed Richards, not the X-Men

With the arrival of Evan Peters as Quicksilver in WandaVision over the past two weeks, an initial theory was that this was going to be the great fusion of the FOX and Disney Marvel universes, and it would herald the arrival of the X-Men in the MCU finally.

But the longer it lasts, the less likely it seems, and the more the introduction of a different significant new MCU property seems to be in the cards.

I’m not sure exactly what WandaVision has planned for Evan Peters’ Pietro, but it certainly doesn’t look like he’s here to host in an X-Men group, and most theories consider him some form of Mephisto. , a sinister villain who is after Wanda’s immense power.

But it’s the other side of the Hex that seems more relevant to a big reveal right now, the fact that Monica Rambeau is about to try and meet with an “aerospace engineer” contact to try and sort this out. by Wanda.

There are very, very few aerospace engineers specifically mentioned in Marvel history, but the most important is clearly none other than Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four. And besides that fact, there are two main reasons why this is probably where it’s going:

1. Unlike anything else about the X-Men, in December, Disney announced that the Fantastic Four are joining the MCU in an upcoming new Jon Watts movie. This could be our first look at who they’ve picked for Reed in particular, at least.

2. Monica Rambeau and Reed / The Fantastic Four have a comic-based story where she’s gone to ask them for help in the past, which is after she got superpowers and they’ve got it. encourage taking on the role of Captain Marvel (long story).

All of those things combine to indicate that this might be where it is all headed, with an end-of-season reveal from the MCU’s Reed Richards, a character we haven’t seen since the ill-fated 2015 reboot of the Fantastic Four where he. was played by Miles Teller. Previously, he was played by Ioan Gruffudd in two previous films.

Who will play it this time? Long before that there was a big fan campaign to try to get the role of John Krasinski from The Office / Jack Ryan.
