LGBTQI + Rights Ghana has opened an administrative office in Tesano, a suburb of Accra, Ghana, reports GhPage.
According to the group, there is a need to respect human rights, which is why the creation of an office for support purposes is a step in the right direction.
The group organized a fundraiser attended by several diplomats, including the Australian High Commissioner who pledged to support the group.
Meanwhile, the National Coalition for Appropriate Human Sexual Rights and Family Values has responded to the establishment by LGBTQIs of such an office in Accra.
They therefore demand the immediate closure of the administrative office for homosexuals.
According to the National Coalition for Appropriate Human Rights and Family Values, the presence of the LGBTQI office ignores the cultural values and mental health of the country.
The coalition held a press briefing on Wednesday highlighting the looming dangers and threats of LGBTQI activism in Ghana.
