The decision of the International Court of Arbitration ordered the Government of Ghana to pay “GPGC the full value of the early termination payment, as well as mobilization, demobilization and conservation and maintenance costs in the amount of US $ 134,348,661, as well as interest thereon. from November 12, 2018 to the date of payment, accrued daily and compounded monthly, at the rate of LIBOR for six-month deposits in US dollars plus six percent (6%). “

On the latest GCnet West Blue saga, the government must disburse 120 million US dollars, in compensation to two companies managing so far a port platform. The two companies, Ghana Community Network Limited (GCNet) and West Blue, which were in charge of the Ghana National Single Window (GNSW) platform.

Both companies were effectively managing the GNSW when their contract was snatched away before the expiration period and the post given to Ghana Link / UNIPASS-ICUMS in a politically orchestrated arrangement through the office of the Chief Minister, Yaw Osafo-Marfo.

The government agreed to reimburse GCNet for the unexpired period of the contract and the settlement was valued at around $ 120 million.

The government has since refused to honor its end of the bargain.
