More than 150 new cases of the coronavirus have been recorded in Berkshire as the UK continues to fight the pandemic.
A total of 153 new cases of the virus were recorded in the county today (February 15), with Slough being the worst affected area in Berkshire.
Official government figures showed 60 new cases of the virus were reported in Slough today, bringing the total number of cases in the city since the start of the pandemic to 14,089.
While Slough has by far the highest number of new cases in Berkshire, Bracknell Forest has also recorded a high number of new cases, with 25 positive tests returned.

At the other end of the scale, Windsor and Maidenhead had the lowest number of new cases, with just 13 positive tests returned.
Statistics from Public Health England also revealed that three other people had NHS trusts in the region. All three deaths occurred within the Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, bringing the total number of people who died from the disease in the trust to 1,160.
Separate data released by the government showed another 230 people had died after testing positive for Covid-19 across the UK. This means that since the start of the pandemic 117,396 have died within 28 days of testing positive for the virus in the UK.
National figures also revealed that 9,765 new cases of Covid-19 had been recorded across the country today. This brings the total number of coronavirus cases to 4,047,843.
Here is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each region of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic:
- Bracknell Forest: 6,643 cases (increase of 25)
- Reading: 10,243 cases (increase of 19)
- Slough: 14,089 cases (increase of 60)
- West Berkshire: 5,850 cases (increase of 16)
- Windsor and Maidenhead: 7,817 cases (increase of 13)
- Wokingham: 7,665 (increase of 20)
Here is the latest data on the total number of deaths in NHS trusts in and around Berkshire:
- Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust: 1160 (increase of three )
- Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust: 476 (no change)
- Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: 31 (no increase)
