The French midfielder will miss both Europa League games against Real Sociedad.
Manchester United will be without Paul Pogba for at least the rest of the month, according to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer was speaking ahead of United’s Europa League game with Real Sociedad, who were transferred from Spain to Turin, Italy, due to travel restrictions in Spain amid the coronavirus pandemic.
United are in the Europa League as they failed to qualify from their Champions League group last year and have a number of injury issues besides Pogba.
“He’s recovering well, he’s starting treatment,” United boss Solskjaer said of the French midfielder.
“It will be a few more good weeks, so he won’t play in February, that’s for sure. A few more weeks to see Paul, definitely.
The injury means United will miss both Sociedad games and the league games against Newcastle and Chelsea. The injury also casts doubt on his involvement in the March derby in Manchester.
There are four other injury issues, as the Norwegian explained.
“Other than (Pogba) we have some doubts or doubts if they will be fit enough with Anthony (Martial) and Scott (McTominay) so we will have to check them tomorrow,” said Solskjaer.
“And Donny (van der Beek) and Edinson (Cavani) – certainly not traveling. They are injured, unfortunately. Muscle injuries. “
