Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei (MP NPP-Akropong), former deputy information minister, defended Mavis Hawa Koomson, the appointed Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture who could not speak eloquently before the parliamentary appointments committee.

According to Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, Hawa Koomson should be judged by her performance at the Ministry of Special Development Initiatives where she “transformed the ministry’s policy document into a visible infrastructure, which today meets the needs of the Ghanaian people” , but not his use of simple times to answer the much talked about audit questions.

In a post on her verified Facebook page, the Akropong MP wrote: “Judge the lady by her performance in her previous portfolio as Minister of Special Development Initiatives. We are all witnessing how she transformed her ministry’s policy document into a visible infrastructure, which today meets the needs of the Ghanaian people.

She continued, “Are we worried about her using simple tenses and basic vocabulary as a yardstick to measure her skills? Do the use of a “huge” vocabulary and efficiency have a correlation … big no! “

Nana Dokua Asiamah-Adjei added, “Even Queen Elizabeth II keeps her vocabulary simple.”

The Akropong MP, who herself said next to nothing during her four years at the Ministry of Information, added: “Finally, before you join others in laughing at the use of ‘tanks ”In its definition of fish farming, please check the meaning of“ reservoirs ”as has been used in this context.
