The Ghana Education Service (GES) reports that preparations are underway for the release of the computerized school placement for the 2020/2021 academic year.
In a press release seen by JoyNews, head of the public relations unit at GES, Cassandra Twum Ampofo explained that the delay in publication is due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
Giving further details, the statement said that “management is establishing call centers across the country and other appropriate alternative measures to resolve any issues related to the placement.”
She assured that GES is “committed to ensuring a smooth and merit-based SHS placement process within established guidelines.
The Head of the Public Relations Unit also took the opportunity to urge parents, guardians, applicants and the general public to remain calm as the Service is committed to ensuring the smooth running of the exercise. .
“The management of GES takes this opportunity to thank all stakeholders for their patience and support,” the statement added.
