Patrick Mahomes didn’t leave Super Bowl 55 with a win, but he still has a big reason to celebrate.
The Chiefs star and his fiancée, Brittany Matthews, announced the birth of their first child on Sunday. Sterling Skye Mahomes, a little girl who arrived on Saturday, weighed six pounds and 11 ounces.

Kansas City’s iconic Union Station celebrated Sterling’s birth with pink and white lighting. Mahomes tweeted his appreciation: “I love this city”.
Mahomes and Matthews announced in September that they were expecting their first child and shared a video revealing the sex in October.
Ahead of this year’s Super Bowl, Mahomes joked that he wanted Matthews “wait” on childbirth until after the big game. Turns out baby Sterling heard Daddy’s instructions.
