A Christian clergyman, Bishop Iyobosa Atoe and his wife, the Reverend Mrs. B. Atoe welcomed their first child after 25 years of marriage.
The couple married in 1996 and prayed for the fruit of the womb until their prayers were finally answered.
The little girl, who was dedicated to Jesus Reigneth Chapel Inc on Saturday, February 20, is called Diamond Atoe.
Photos of the baby’s dedication were shared on social media by the church and Nigerians took to the comments section to congratulate the couple.
The couple’s story has shown that patience is a virtue and that love conquers everything.

On a related note, a Nigerian couple have finally welcomed a pair of twins after 27 years without children.
Dr Mike and Dr Modupe Obiora were married on December 11, 1993 and had prayed to conceive ever since.
According to Dr. Modupe, she and her husband clung to God when people thought there was no possibility of conceiving.
She expressed her gratitude to God for showing up for her and her husband and proving that there was nothing impossible for him.
According to the new mom, her stepmom and sisters-in-law always prayed for her during difficult times. She said her in-laws had strengthened her faith.
