Three ministerial appointees will appear before Parliament’s appointments committee on Wednesday for verification.
The candidates are Samuel Abdulai Jinapor, Minister-designate of Lands and Natural Resources, Minister-designate of Railway Development, John Peter Amewu and Minister-designate of Public Works and Housing, Francis Asenso Boakye.
In order to lead the designated ministries, the three appointees will inform the audit committee of certain policies that they will implement to ensure the smooth running of President Akufo-Addo’s second term.
Peter Amewu leaves the Ministry of Energy while the two former Deputy Chief of Staff; Samuel Jinapor and Asenso Boakye leave the office of the presidency.
The Nominations Committee will complete all verification processes on Monday March 8.
To date, 21 candidates nominated by President Akufo-Addo have been reviewed by the 26-member committee chaired by First Vice-President Joseph Osei Owusu.
Cecilia Dapaah with Joseph Cudjoe and Kwaku Ofori Asiamah appeared before the Nominations Committee on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, six other appointees are expected to face the committee by the end of Friday, February 26.
