Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest
Starting in 2007, Georgia had a consistent debut in the competition, securing their best 9th place finish twice – with “Shine” in 2010 and “One More Day” in 2011.
Georgia have qualified seven finals since joining the competition, but have not made a final since 2016. In the Stockholm competition, they placed 20th with “Midnight Gold” by Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz.
Last year, Tornike Kipiani was scheduled to represent Georgia after winning The X Factor. His entry, “Take Me As I Am,” was published at a later date. After the competition was canceled, it was announced that Tornike will return to represent Georgia at the 2021 competition in Rotterdam.
