He said the said relationship, like others, has not had the opportunity to speak to the defendants and has never had the opportunity to contact them whenever the court adjourned the case.
Judge Srem-Sai said the court has the power to bring reason, respect for the law and justice, including the wrongful arrest of an Alex Adzah at the court premises after the previous session of the January 11.
He therefore urged the court to issue a stern warning to the officers in charge of the case to stop harassing innocent families on the grounds that the country of law like Ghana, no one including its commander, is missing. above the law.

The chief investigator in the case, Detective Inspector Samuel Agyarkwa, who was asked to explain to the court what happened after the last court session, did so.

He told the court that a description of the person had been given to the police and that the man had been arrested.

“We wanted to find out on his phone but he wouldn’t let us. We took him to the office for further instructions. At the office, he explained the reason for his appearance in court and he was released, ”Detective Inspector Agyarkwa told the court.
He therefore denied the harassment allegation, stating “that he was not harassed. During our work, if a person resisted arrest, we handcuffed them.

The prosecution led by Inspector Lawrence Adjei Anane, who was keeping a file for senior prosecutor Richard Amoah, who he said was hospitalized at the police hospital, said he would communicate the sentiment to his boss unit.
He explained that this morning, while on his way to court, he was ambushed by a call from the prosecutor at the bottom to keep him informed due to health issues.
According to him, he has no idea of the said incident which allegedly took place during the last court session.
He added, however, that he would contact the unit commander to enable him to address the sentiment and concerns once and for all.
He told the court that the defendants have the right to speak to their relatives even in detention centers and in the premises of the court, so that the relatives of the defendants also have the right to speak to the defendants.
He said defendants have the right not to be harassed and the right to be talked about and not restricted.
He therefore urged the court to adjourn the case and assured that the issues raised would be addressed.
The investigator told the court the case was being prepared to be sent to the attorney general’s office for review.
Meanwhile, the pleadings of the defendants’ lawyers for the court to strike out and release the defendants for incompetence have been dismissed.
The 22 defendants, including the alleged bogus lawyer Benson Sayrem, were remanded in custody.
They are charged with the crime of treason.
