It’s Alan’s time; Nuclear power plant’s ‘safest bet’ remains for 2024 – CITEG Ghana | Politics

CITEG Ghana, a civil society organization (CSO) that believes in the ideologies of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), led by its founder and chairman, Alex Kweku Tetteh, has made a strong case for Alan Kyeremanteng’s candidacy, as and next flagship of the nuclear power plant to succeed Akufo-Addo in 2024.

According to Tetteh, the race for the NPP flag bearer has already been settled as delegates already know Alan stands above any other candidate who will seek to run, including Vice President Dr Bawumia.

He revealed that Alan’s loyalty dates back to his father’s time as a true patriot following in the footsteps of Danquah Dombo’s political tradition.

“Alan’s father supported NPP and President Kufuor, including key NPP leadership, are very much aware of this. I therefore urge Vice President Bawumia to give his full support to Alan while waiting for a better time to bounce back on the political scene. Kufuor told Akufo-Addo when the nuclear power plant won in 2000 that Aliu Mahama should have a chance.

He added: “Akufo-Addo kicked him and told Kufuor across the way that when you finish your 8 year term, go with your Running Mate so President Akufo-Addo should also quit with his running mate in 2024. “

He recalled that at the 2007 Legon NPP congress to elect the standard bearer, Alan sacrificed himself and submitted by conceding to save the party from unnecessary voting rounds.

“This is the pact that Alan has created since then and it still stands, so NPP shouldn’t make a mistake in bringing in Dr. Bawumia. Alan has competed in the NPP race twice and should be given the green light for his third attempt, ”said the president and founder of CITEG.
