Jason Sudeikis won the 2021 Golden Globe for Best Comedy Actor for his performance in Apple TV + hit Ted lasso.

This cookie son did it! Ted Lasso titular star Jason Sudeikis won the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series at Sunday’s 78th Golden Globe Awards for his work in comedy Apple TV +.
The actor prevailed over other nominees Don Cheadle (Black Monday), Nicholas Hoult (The Great), Eugene Levy (Schitt’s Creek) and last year’s winner Ramy Youssef (Ramy).
Dressed in a hoodie and sporting his iconic mustache, Sudeikis looked visibly surprised at the victory, and took a few moments to get his bearings before simply responding “This is nuts.” Then, in typical Coach Lasso fashion, Sudeikis pulled out an inspiring speech from the top drawer. “I read this book to my son, Otis, titled The Three Questions of Leo Tolstoy and it has three questions like, ‘When is the best time to do things? What’s the right thing to do? And then who is the most important? ‘And that last question, which is the most important, is who you are with. So I kind of reject the premise of being the best actor because in my humble opinion the best actor is the person you’re playing with. I want to say hello to everyone I can play with on this show. “
Esquire described it as perhaps “the one thing to take away from the three-hour masquerade,” as Sudeikis continued:
“I want to scream at all the people I can play with because they’re amazing. Do they make me the best? No. But I know for a fact that they make me better. Better than me, better. that I thought I could be, and better than anything I could do. “
