Mahama and his wife take Covid-19 vaccine and urge Ghanaians to do the same

Former President John Dramani Mahama took his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today, Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2020 flag bearer took part in the vaccination exercise with his wife, former First Lady Lordina Mahama, at the police hospital.

After his vaccination, he urged Ghanaians to dismiss all rumors about vaccines as they are useful in protecting our health.

“I believe that all Ghanaians should avail themselves of vaccines and indeed in Africa we should be less hesitant to take vaccines because we all took vaccines when we were growing up, and it is because of these vaccines that today our children do not. get all kinds of diseases like polio and smallpox, among others.

“Vaccines are therefore useful for preserving our health and Ghanaians should therefore ignore all these rumors,” he said.

In fact, he said he agreed to take his vaccine publicly in order to debunk conspiracy theories and assure Ghanaians that vaccines are safe.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo and his wife took their vaccines yesterday at the 37 military hospitals with Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia who took his vaccine at the police hospital.
