Daniel Domelovo: How the Auditor General forcibly proceeds to leave 167 days as a Ghanaian to return to Togo

The Ghana Audit Service Board dey challenge the nationality of the retirement age of the Auditor General, Daniel Domelovo.

According to the board of directors, Mr. Domelevo would be a Togolese born around 1960 because of this effective retirement age on June 1, 2020.

Audit Service Board Chairman Professor Edward Dua Agyeman has revealed that he has discovered irregularities in Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) records.

In a letter we wrote to Domelovo, they say: “Your Social Security and National Insurance Program (SSNIT) records show that your date of birth is June 1, 1960 when you joined the scheme on October 1. 1978. “

“Dey dey records show your state of your tribe as a Togolese den non-Ghanaian. Wey your hometown be Agbatofe,” they add.

According to the audit commission, later in his career, Mr. Domelovo will change to SSNIT in detail the Ghanaian nationality of his hometown under the name Ada for the Greater Accra region.

So, if the issue of age is important, the Council concludes that Mr. Domelevo will retire last year around June 2020.

Ghanaians react to Togolese nationality claims

Some Ghanaians criticize the movement for feeling directly targeted by the fight against the anti-corruption activist.

On June 29, President Akufo-Addo led Daniel Domelevo for taking a cumulative leave of 123 days.

But the auditor general who expresses his dissatisfaction with the directive on forced holidays writes an open letter to the government which makes him include a leave in 2020, thus increasing the number of days of leave to 167.

People are worried about the forced holidays which they believe should be silenced by AG, who is Ghana’s main fighter against corruption.

By 167 days of forced leave, Mr Domelovo returned to work on March 3, 2021, but for reasons of nationality and retirement age, he is not fit to return to work.
