The Bryan Acheampong Foundation, as part of its educational program, donated textbooks and workbooks to all high schools and colleges in Kwahu East District on March 2.
Workbooks were presented to all students from JHS1 to JHS3 in each school in the district while the manuals were presented to principals of each of the secondary schools for use in the various school libraries.
The donation is part of the Foundation’s efforts to support teaching and learning in the district.
The donation includes 20,000 notebooks and 1,000 textbooks.
Speaking at the handover ceremony at the Pepease District Education Office, the District Director for Education, Mr. Robert Anddah Monney expressed his deep gratitude to the Foundation for its continued support for the improvement teaching and learning in the district. He stressed that if quality education is to be achieved, learning must be our goal and for learning to take place effectively, materials and logistics must be made available. He added that human and material resources are essential to transform education within the district.

Armoo highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to supporting education in the district through the continued provision of incentives and the provision of their incentive scholarships. headlights. He said their goal is to partner with the leadership to ensure that school children receive the best help with tuition fees, which will help them discover their learning potential and improve their overall academic performance.
He also expressed his gratitude to a few people who had pledged to support the foundation and pledged to contribute in various ways to this educational campaign. Special gratitude was expressed to Mr. John Kumi, an Accra-based publisher, who donated a number of textbooks to this cause.
In total, twenty thousand (20,000) workbooks were given to 45 basic schools in the seven circuits and 1,000 textbooks to seven (7) high schools in the Kwahu East district.
Since its inception in 2017, the Foundation has contributed to the improvement of the education sector through programs and projects such as the distribution of over 24,000 school uniforms to students across the district, from kindergarten through JHS 3 level. .
The Teachers Graduate Scholarship Program, which currently has 120 grantees, 70 of whom will graduate in March of this year.
The undergraduate scholarship program which currently supports just over 50 students in the Kwahu enclave and the mentee program which supports over 200 bright but needy students across the district; provides them with mentoring, career guidance and financial support for clothing, educational materials, etc. They also benefit from various forms of family life support.
