A woman who went viral in 2019 as NGOs solicited funds for her cancer treatment has now been found to have no cancer.
Serah Shimenenge Yugh was diagnosed with stage I invasive ductal carcinoma of the left breast at the age of 33 on August 21, 2017.
In 2019, Serah’s story went viral and caught the attention of Health Minister Osagie Ehanire, who said the federal government was planning to roll out a cancer treatment fund to reduce the burden of cancer treatment. .
