Hearts of Oak has signed a long-term deal with Sunon-Asogli as a new main sponsor to occupy the front page of their Umbro kits following the release of SAS about three years ago.
Snippets of information indicate that the new partners will significantly reduce the financial burden on the club which mainly rests on the shoulders of the majority shareholder, Togbe Afede IV.
Sunon Asogli Power (Ghana) Limited is jointly owned by Shenzhen Energy Group Company Ltd (60%) and the China African Development Fund (40%). The project is a modern, highly efficient and environmentally friendly natural gas combined cycle power plant located on 50 acres of land in Tema, Accra.
Sunon-Asogli joined Hearts of Oak as the club’s 11th partner from 1911.
