Ingram Micro Cloud has added the offerings of software-as-a-service (SaaS) based network security provider CyGlass to its marketplace in New Zealand.
CyGlass provides a Network Defense as a Service (NDaaS) solution that provides small and medium-sized businesses with advanced cybersecurity technology that benchmarks IT activity and detects anomalies.
The company says its technology has its origins in work funded by the US Department of Defense’s DARPA agency, which was interested in its potential to tackle anomalies that could impact fighter jets.
Now based in Boston, CyGlass has developed its startup capabilities into a frictionless solution for organizations of any size.
The provider was acquired by Nominet in 2020, under the jurisdiction of the UK-based Internet Registry Cyber Security division, which provides the Domain Name Protection Service (PDNS) on behalf of the National Cyber Security Center. (NCSC) from the UK as part of the Active Cyber Defense Program.
The distributor also made the cybersecurity solutions provider’s solution available through its cloud marketplace in the United States and Australia, in addition to New Zealand.
Company president Ed Jackowiak noted that cloud-based services have become more critical than ever for businesses.
“Combining our NDaaS solution with the proven go-to-market of Ingram Micro Cloud helps support small and medium IT and security teams in the A / NZ market,” said Jackowiak.
“Protecting networks from cyber attacks can be essential to survival; we look forward to working with Ingram Micro Cloud on this mission, ”he added.
