New Among Us Mod has a fun crossover with Attack on Titan

Among Us is a social deduction game that rose to fame in 2020 and while it has been hugely successful on streaming platforms, it lacks replayability. InnerSloth had teased a red “ Airship ” card in 2020, but without a major update since, fans are losing patience by the day. Subsequently, streamers like LazarBeam, SSundee started playing a variety of mods to keep the game fresh.

A new mod has been developed which brings the titans of The attack of the Titans to the lobby among us. Attack on Titan is a Japanese manga series that debuted in September 2009. In a world where humans seek protection from man-eating titans, the story follows a teenage Eren Yeager who swears revenge on the titans after devouring his mother. .

While the mod does not incorporate the storyline of the series, it does give imposters titan-like abilities. YouTuber Socksfor1 showcased the mod in their latest video. From its gameplay, we are able to understand that the titan-impostors have three abilities.

First and most importantly, they have the ability to transform into sky giants who can chase away teammates. One thing to keep in mind is that impostors cannot let off steam in titan form.

Second, the Impostor Titans have the “Smash” ability. This ability is essentially a “hulk smash” that kills all crew members within its radius. This is most effective when teammates are unsuspecting and grouped together. Finally, titans have the ability to throw large boulders at their teammates. Similar to the “smash” ability, the boulder can kill multiple opponents if grouped together.

The major limitation of the Titan-Impostor comes from its speed and stealth. Titans have much slower movements than regular impostors. It is therefore vital to perfectly time the transformation so as not to reveal yourself too soon as an impostor.

Then, due to their large appearance, teammates can spot the titans from a distance and therefore easily identify the suspect. Additionally, they have a 30 second cooldown for their lethal abilities.

Previously, we’ve seen Among Us intersect in the world of anime and film with Death Note, Avatar, and Thanos mods. We can’t wait to see what unique mods among us will be created in the future.
