Tom and Jerry or Justice League by Zack Snyder? Thanks to an HBO Max glitch on Monday, some viewers who tried to watch the first took a peek at the upcoming superhero blockbuster instead. The movie is due out in 10 days … oops.
“Someone gets fired… Tom and Jerry it’s not…#SnyderCutTweeted Doug Bass, who would have been the first to notice the problem.
Bass told The Hollywood Reporter that when he played Tom & Jerry, the new live-action / CGI movie, an error message popped up and then Zack Snyder’s Justice League started playing. Yet when he paused he said he was watching Tom & Jerry. After an hour, the film cut.
The good news for Justice League fans is that Bass said the first hour was a good one.
“They figured it out and cut the flow, but I can say that the first hour or two of Snyder’s Cut is the best DC movie I’ve ever seen,” Bass tweeted.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is set to hit HBO Max on March 18. The 2017 Justice League four-hour director’s cut reportedly cost HBO Max $ 70 million in special effects, editing, re-score and more. Maybe this is a great marketing gesture or just a problem.
HBO Max did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
