Danny Willett tests positive for COVID-19 and withdraws from THE PLAYERS championship

PGA TOUR statement on Danny Willett

PGA TOUR member Danny Willett has withdrawn from THE PLAYERS Championship after testing positive for COVID-19.

Willett will have the full support of the PGA TOUR throughout his period of self-isolation as directed by the CDC.

First substitute Kramer Hickok will replace Willett on the pitch.
