A text message has been sent to all golfers participating in the 2021 Players’ Championship warning them that every stroke and sound will be captured on video this year at TPC Sawgrass. Hope this is a harbinger of what should be an amazing week of golf, content and fun.
The Players’ Championship week is always one of the best of the year. With an expanded scope, a myriad of storylines, and an incredible series of finishes leading up to this week, I don’t know if I’ve ever been After excited more than I am for the first big event of 2021. Although golf has not returned since the start of the pandemic, we are nowhere near where we were 52 weeks ago and should be able to complete the first players in almost two years.
Rory McIlroy is trying to become the first golfer to successfully defend his title here, and he’s joined at the top of the odds table by Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Collin Morikawa (all three won this year), Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm , Patrick Cantlay and Xander Sc Chaudele – all looking for their first win at The Players.
